Plastic-free project: another important step towards zero emissions

Italgraniti Group is adopting numerous solutions to reduce non-recyclable packaging. Italgraniti Group has worked on these issues, obtaining results even above expectations. An example of this is the 1,500 m3 less polystyrene (interlayer between the porcelain stoneware slabs), which since 2023 has been replaced with sheets of triple corrugated cardboard, containing over 60% recycled material.

An efficient and sustainable factory

The Group's plant purifies and reuses 100% of waste water. In addition to saving water resources, Italgraniti has eliminated the risk of pollution of surface and underground waters.

Italgraniti Group recovers 100% of discarded, raw and cooked materials within the production process. By maximizing the recovery of waste, the need for new raw materials is reduced and natural resources such as clays and feldspars are saved.

The investments have almost eliminated undifferentiated industrial waste, to date it is only 1% of the total. The containment of waste has contributed to a virtuous production cycle capable of recycling most of the waste that is created during the production phase.

The innovative system that protects the well-being of the territory

The new post-combustor has strengthened the existing fabric filter fume purification system, avoiding the possibility of unpleasant odors being dispersed. The modern system is able to intercept the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) present in the organic-based glues used in digital decoration.
